Intiutive and flexible interface

Below an overview of all relevant Smart Connection Pro panels in Adobe InDesign. Shown are the Smart Connection panel, the Elements panel and the Element Label panel. Also notice the Smart Connection menu that is added to the menu bar.

A layout is opened containing mulitple placed articles, as listed in the Elements panel. One of the articles is checked out for editing, as indicated by the yellow pencil icons (one for each article component).

One of the checked out article components is selected on the layout and has got an Element Label assigned (Header), as indicated in the Element Label panel.

Working in InCopy

Below an overview of all relevant Smart Connection Pro panels in Adobe InCopy. Shown are the Smart Connection Toolbar (docked), the Resize TextFrame toolbar (docked) the Smart Connection panel and the HyperLinks panel. Also notice the Smart Connection menu that is added to the menu bar.

The opened article, which is part of a layout, is shown in the Layout tab. All other layout components that are not editable are shown dimmed.

Easy browsing with thumbnails

The Smart Connection panel as part of Smart Connection Pro CS3. The panel is displayed in Thumbnail view, with an additional Preview shown below it. Filters at the top of the panel enable to browse the database.
