Another breakthrough in tablet publishing
With publications being launched onto the iPad almost every day, it's hard to keep track of what's hot and what's not.
Today a publication went live that has set a new milestone: TRVL Magazine.
It's a travel magazine filled with stunning photography. However, although great content, it's not so much the content that makes TRVL a game changer, what is so special is the fact that it's an iPad only magazine made by three guys who took their moment to become a tablet-publisher!
They had the content, they had the nerves, they got themselves the right software (!) and they did it.
So far, the market for publishers has been protected against new entrants since the barriers were too high. Today TRVL Magazine shows that with little means, great content and lots of courage one can enter the publishing market in only a few weeks!
According to Porter this would make an industry less attractive. I'd rather say it's the start of all uncountable new things to come: Everyone can become a publisher, or, even better, everyone can be a worldwide publisher! TRVL proved it today!
