Don't be busy, be productive! New features for Content Station 10

Multichannel

Do you ever feel that time is wasted on repetitive tasks? And that you are busy but not as productive as you could be?

At WoodWing we get excited when we can speed things up and increase publishing efficiency.

Changing properties of multiple files

New to Content Station 10, it is now possible to change the properties of multiple files at once.

Frequently, when working on files or objects such as images or texts you need to change the file’s workflow status, category it belongs to, or even the name. To do this one file at a time, when you have multiple files to alter at once, is a slow, tedious process.

Now you have the ability to simultaneously change the properties of many files at the same time. Quickly adjust or assign multiple files of the same type (images, text, etc.) and of the same brand.

Shortcuts

To make life easier, we’ve also added some keyboard shortcuts. Everyone loves a good shortcut and the following are now available in CS10:

  • Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+E Open a selected file in a new web browser window
  • Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+U Upload a file to an opened Dossier
  • Cmd/Ctrl+G Send selected files to the next Workflow Status
  • Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+D Remove a selected file from a Dossier
  • Cmd/Ctrl+J Add a file to a Dossier

Tip: For easy reference, any available keyboard shortcuts for a file are listed in the context menu for that file.

Shortcuts for Mac are shown on the left and for Windows on the right.

Opening all Dossiers to which a file belongs

With a simple right-click on a file in CS10 and making the selection to ‘Open Dossiers’ from the menu, you now have an efficient way of opening all Dossiers to which a file belongs.

And last, but certainly not least, you can now view the Enterprise locations of a file

A file in Enterprise is commonly used in multiple locations. For example a file always belongs to a ‘Brand’ and it can also belong to multiple issues, plus be part of many dossiers.

You can now see exactly where an Enterprise file has been used as it is displayed in the ‘Used In’ field of the Properties panel.

Use the Properties panel to see in which Enterprise locations a file is used.

With all of these features now available in Content Station 10, your content creation is even more quick and nimble.
