We are pleased to announce that Smart Connection now also supports Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) 2017.
What does this mean?
Connecting your Adobe CC 2017 InDesign and InCopy files to your Enterprise server is now possible through the latest WoodWing Smart Connection release.
Many Enterprise users create their stories with layouts in Adobe InDesign or articles written in Adobe InCopy. Smart Connection enables users to retrieve content saved in Enterprise from within InDesign or InCopy. Users can then store their work back into Enterprise once it is complete.
Team members can conveniently search and browse, open layouts, place images, save versions, and route documents to other users according to their workflow, all from within InDesign.
In addition, Smart Connection enables an editorial workflow where InCopy users write articles in parallel with designers who are working on corresponding page layouts.
What’s new in Adobe CC 2017?
If you are a creative user of Adobe InDesign, the UI updates you will receive in Adobe CC 2017 include:
- An adjustable panel tab height. The larger tabs reduce eye-strain by adding distance between elements, to make life easier for users that spend long hours staring at their screen.
- Typography improvements, for example when you are working with OpenType fonts, in the text frame a small ‘OpenType’ properties icon will appear to access variations or alternatives.
- ‘Span Footnotes Across Columns’ as a new option, which can be useful for some users.
