What's new in WoodWing Xtendis?

WoodWing Xtendis now connects with Microsoft Graph API, allowing streamlined access to Microsoft services like Azure AD, SharePoint, and Teams. This integration enhances security, efficiency, and collaboration:

• Azure Active Directory (AD) enables enterprises to use single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, and conditional access, providing strong protection against cyber-attacks. With Microsoft Entra ID, users can securely access Xtendis using their Microsoft Account, ensuring robust security and streamlined login.
• Xtendis integrates with SharePoint to securely manage and import documents directly from SharePoint folders, providing seamless control over document management and ensuring sustainable digital archiving.
• Microsoft Teams is a hub for collaboration, but its unstructured data can impact availability and sustainability. Xtendis seamlessly organizes this information, ensuring structured storage and accessibility without any user intervention.
  
  

WoodWing Xtendis is now NEN 7510 certified for healthcare information security, ensuring stricter standards for patient data privacy and access control. This certification reinforces our commitment to providing the highest level of data security for our healthcare industry customers.

WoodWing Xtendis is now NEN 16175-1 certified for Record Management, meeting Dutch government requirements. This certification, alongside our ISO 27001 and ISAE 3402 Type II credentials, demonstrates Xtendis' compliance and excellence in secure document management.

Protecting personal data is crucial, and our new Anonymize feature in WoodWing Xtendis supports AVG compliance by concealing sensitive information while maintaining document usability. Anonymized documents stay securely within the document management system, ensuring full control and reducing the risk of data leaks.

As e-mail becomes the primary channel for mail items, WoodWing Xtendis streamlines this flow by automating the recognition, classification, and processing of messages and attachments. This reduces user intervention and can trigger workflows for actions such as processing or anonymization, similar to handling physical mail.

Linked indexes have been improved to help end-users provide the correct metadata to documents. You can now enable or disable this feature for the search screen, and editing linked index combinations is possible directly from the web in functional management. 

WoodWing Xtendis now supports the HEIC image format, commonly used by Apple iPhones. This enhancement ensures that incoming emails with HEIC images are seamlessly converted to a long-term archival format, preserving the integrity and accessibility of these images. Additionally, photos taken with Apple devices can be uploaded directly to WoodWing Xtendis and stored in formats suitable for long-term archiving. 

Users can import documents and data from various cloud providers like Microsoft Azure and AWS, and store them in WoodWing Xtendis.

Managing how data is displayed in WoodWing Xtendis has gotten easier with version 7.1. This update empowers users to personally manage all relevant layouts directly within the application based on permissions. Whether it's the data view, search forms, indexing forms, or document and file properties, you now have full control. 

Uploading files to WoodWing Xtendis is now more intuitive and efficient. Simply drag and drop files onto the dashboard or upload page, or even into an existing document or file. This new feature makes it easy to add files to the archive by dragging them over the properties. Plus, with the new file preview feature, you can ensure you're adding the correct properties (metadata) right from the start. 

WoodWing Xtendis 7.1 improves compatibility with various regions by supporting different date formats. Whether you prefer American English or British English date formats, the application adapts automatically to the right culture/region. Additionally, you can customize date formats through layout management to suit your needs. 

Introducing a completely new user interface for WoodWing Xtendis 7.0. Developed in collaboration with Design and UX experts, this interface offers a significantly faster and more intuitive user experience. 

WoodWing Xtendis 7.0 features an enhanced unified search capability. Previously, search options were limited to specific indexes, like document type or invoice number. Now, you can perform quick searches directly from the dashboard across all indexes. The search engine has been entirely revamped to deliver optimal results for all keywords, and its operation can be further customized via the archive adjustment. 

WoodWing Xtendis documents are designed with features that provide context and structure within the archive. This structure can now be utilized even more effectively with the new 'Expand Search' functionality. Configure one or more document and/or dossier property to automatically broaden your search. For example, you can search all correspondence related to an invoice, gather all information based on a client number, or find all relevant documents for a specific project.
