Challenge

Before a new Design Services Manager joined Volac, its in-house design team stored all digital assets on a network server. The server was very slow, and the filing system's structure was cluttered.

Moreover, other departments within the company didn’t have access to the server, which made file search and communication quite inefficient. Another problem was the absence of a single structured storage space for all the design work delivered — mainly to report to management on the progress.

Solution

Implementation

Due to Swivle’s unlimited cloud storage and bulk upload functionality, the team was able to migrate around 60,000 files from their legacy server, which now has a clear folder structure and meta-tagging.

The company holds seven Content Manager licenses to upload, edit, manage, and share files. Besides those main licenses, Volac also opted for an additional twenty Content User licenses, used by people from other departments with Content User access and authority. This broad access to digital assets throughout the company has significantly increased the visibility and proven the value of the work done by the in-house design team — which is one of the most important benefits of implementing Swivle.
