Premedia (Malaysia)

Where you’ll work

About your role
  • Communicate with clients on the incoming files and outgoing files, reply inquiries related to the production, request for sources files from client and etc; as the middle person between the clients and the design team.
  • Responsible to grab the source files supplied by clients to working production environment, inform the design team when the amendment process is ready to be executed.
  • QA contents before the delivery, convert files to be used in production, insert weblinks and metadata to all the articles.
  • Handle the placement of advertisements to the specific brands.
  • Record the incoming jobs in the job sheet.
  • Submit shift handover report on every end of shift to colleagues managers
  • Assist the Production Manager and Assistant Production Manager to update the production schedule and communicate with clients in their absence.
  • Go through the QA checklist before go live date of a publication issue.

Support Consultant (Malaysia)

Where you’ll work

Purpose of the function:

The support consultant supports business partners in the installation, configuration and management of WoodWing applications. As Support Consultant, you are part of a team that shares responsibility for ensuring that the business partners and customers are assisted to full satisfaction in working with the products and services from WoodWing.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing and solving technical problems
  • Answering technical questions from partners and customers
  • Accurately administer ticket and time spend information
  • Creating and managing test and support environments
  • Acquire and maintain current knowledge of WoodWing products by attending internal training and self-study
  • Maintaining contact with business partners and customers
  • Informing the Technical Support Manager of tickets that may escalate
  • Actively help to distribute knowledge and information through Knowledge Base

Optionally, you may also be interested in being a mentor for our interns. The mentor for interns is a Support Consultant who is also responsible to ensure that interns:

  • Perform work that benefits both WoodWing and the intern’s work experience at a company.
  • Are informed about the work processes that are used at WoodWing and how to use them.
  • Have working hours are being administered correctly.
  • Know the WoodWing rules and Work processes.
  • Achieve their learning goals
  • Do their work within agreed times, even if the intern is not available.

Job requirements:

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience within the ICT sector.
  • Broad technical knowledge in the ICT field; knowledge of:
  • MS Windows, Linux, MacOS including management and configuration issues
  • Configuration and use of relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL and MS SQL.
  • Web application technologies such as PHP and XML.
  • Good command of English language in word and speech.
  • Customer and service-oriented attitude.

Cloud Operations Engineer (the Netherlands)

About your role
 
The managed/hosted services business at WoodWing is a critical part of our success, and we are looking for an engineer to provide cloud infrastructure management support to our customers. Our clients’ success is our number one priority. You will help ensure a continuity of service for our existing customers and participate as an engineering expert during the implementation of new hosted environments and the deployment of software on those environments.
 
The most important criteria for joining the team that manages our services are:
Firm grasp of how AWS hosting, cloud environments, server management, and software deployments work
Client-facing experience
Written and verbal skills; excellent communication manner
Knowledge of the WoodWing application suite is a plus
Knowledge of Adobe InDesign/InCopy is a plus

Your responsibilities
For existing clients:
Collaborate with the support and development team when issues or enhancement requests are escalated on behalf of our customers.
Participate in an after-hours operational support on-call rotation for critical issues.
Perform server-side application management including upgrades, updates, patches, and smoke testing.
Execute system management changes, updates to configuration files.
Take ownership of hosting or server-side issues; research, diagnose, troubleshoot, identify, and document solutions.
Monitor system performance and costs.
Provide prompt and accurate feedback
Ensure proper recording and closure or escalation of all issues
For new implementations:
Gather requirements, determine resources needed for deployment
Estimate level of effort and create high-level project plan
Deploy, configure and test system
Data migration
 
Requirements
 
Proven track record in standing up and supporting cloud environments, AWS, server management 
BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent preferred, depending on professional experience.
Strong problem-solver
Experience with Jira Service Desk and PagerDuty or similar tools
Excellent client-facing skills
Excellent written and verbal communication 
Organized and self-motivated, able to work in a remote environment with minimal supervision

PHP Developer Medior (the Netherlands)

About your role
 
Come help us develop our Studio Server codebase further, taking us to the next level. Studio Server is the engine behind our advanced workflow- and content editing software, guiding many of the world’s top publishers to produce print- and digital content. 
 
We’re looking for a medior backend developer who will help maintain, build new functionality and implement improvements within the Studio Server. You’ll work with other developers to both support frontend functionality and expand the capabilities of the system. You think about the desired user process and design new or improved functionality or API’s. At WoodWing, developers have the freedom to choose which tools and technologies they want to use to get the work done, respecting the limitations of the existing frameworks and code. You enjoy working with other developers to improve your knowledge.
 
The core of the current technology stack comprises PHP, SQL, Java, C++, Angular JS and JavaScript. Your main focus will be on PHP and SQL. We use other languages, libraries and tools in our applications – as long as it helps us reach our goals. We expect you to pick up new things quickly and to strengthen the team with your own experience and ideas. 
 
Who you are
Minimum requirements:
2+ years’ experience as a developer, preferably working on web apps
Experience with object oriented programming languages, preferably Java or C++
Experience with PHP
Experience with test driven development
Experience with troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Experience with large data models, relational databases and SQL
You can pick up new programming languages or tools quickly if need be.
You can work independently within a small, multidisciplinary team. 
Experience with source code repositories, preferable Git/Github
You can communicate in English, both spoken and written word
Experience of working within the Agile methodology.

About your role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and experienced HR Officer. You will work on global HR operations in an all-round position, responsible for administrative activities and process optimization across a range of areas, including onboarding, employee journey, recruitment, and payroll.
 
In this role, you will have a lot of freedom to come up with and own initiatives. You are a self-starter who loves to structure and improve processes. You enjoy working in an international environment and have strong communication skills in English and Dutch. 
You are flexible, hands-on, curious, and adaptable. 
 
What you will do
  • Manage and improve all the resources for recruitment, including website, vacancies, and so on. 
  • Coordinate the application process, and be a point of contact for applicants.  
  • Take a deep dive into and improve our HR system (Nmbrs).
  • Manage on- and offboarding activities.
  • Improve the employee journey.
  • Prepare payroll data for monthly entry and liaise with the payroll administrator.
  • Work on HR projects
Who you are
You have:
  • An MBO education in the field of HR or personnel and labor.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Working knowledge of the legislation and regulations for personnel, organization, and procedures.
